The school enjoys outstanding facilities. Most children go on to major Public Schools across the South. There are approximately 380 boys and girls, aged 2½ -13. Westbourne House is situated just to the east of Chichester in beautiful grounds of over 100 acres. All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with current and past employers, online checks, the Disclosure & Barring Service, overseas checks and the Secretary of State’s Prohibition List from Teaching and Management. This role is offered on a short-term cover basis for the Summer term 23 (18th April – 7th July 23), initially to provide cover as an ICT Teacher but could also include cover in other areas of the school. This is a full-time position (Monday to Saturday) with a half day on one day in the week. You will also be expected to contribute to activities on a Saturday. The summer term focus for the boys and girls is cricket, with tennis and athletics also featuring strongly in the programme. Experience in teaching the major sports would be advantageous. The IT Network Manager helps with much of the day-to-day maintenance of the hardware and network.Īs part of this role, you will contribute to the Games programme at the school, with matches taking place on a Wednesday and some Saturdays (approximately 6 for the Summer term). Pupils are taught Robotics using Vex IQ kits and Lego WeDo and Digital Skills through Raspberry Pi, Storyboard and Pic Monkey. The school has a main ICT Suite and the children also have access to trolleys of laptops for classroom use. The school has outstanding ICT provision, using Windows Devices in the main.
This role will involve teaching Digital Skills and Robotics throughout the Prep school, from Year 3 to Year 8.
